Parties to celebrate the album launch

As you might imagine, after 2 years I'm rather happy the album is coming out! The record is out on the 4th June, so to celebrate this we're rather greedily having TWO parties. Why two? Let me explain...

On Wednesday the 13th June, I'll be playing a full live set with my band, playing pretty much the whole album and some live favourites. We'll be supported by the brilliant Sylver Tongue, who is probably more commonly known as Charlotte Hatherley. It's at CAMP Basement, Old Street, London. Plus, it's a week after release so you'll have time to get to know the songs...

BUT ... obviously not everyone can come to a weeknight gig. And lots of people would rather hear records played in a club than in live band form. And as I spend much of my time DJing ... I thought it would be fun to have a clubnight party to celebrate the launch too!

So on Friday 8th June, I'll be spinning some of my favourite songs, alongside my good friends Sound Of Arrows, Sunday Girl and David Oh who I run Another Night with. We'll be Djing from 10pm until 2am, and entry for this event is FREE is you RSVP. Otherwise £3 on the door.

BLBL DJ Dates in May

Hello! As well as starting to gig again my DJ calendar has been filling up somewhat. If you fancy a dance, here is a look at where I'll be spinning some of my favourite tunes in May:

11th - PUNCH at The Lexington, London
12th - Another Night at Vogue Fabrics, London
25th - Munich Candy Club @ Orangehouse, Germany
31st - Comfortable Shoes at The Star Of Bethnal Green, London

PUNCH:
Pop band Autoheart launch a new clubnight called Punch at one of my favourite London gig venues The Lexington. I'll be playing lots of my favourite pop - not just from the 90s - and some old indie/pop crossover gems from midnight till 2am.

ANOTHER NIGHT:
The 90s night that I run with fellow Neath export David Oh. This time - and I am THRILLED to announce this - we have a very special guest DJ in the form of Sarah Blackwood from Dubstar!! One of my absolute favourite bands from the 90s. I have every single in every format, so we're thrilled to welcome her. David Oh and I will be spinning 90s classics back to back for the rest of the night.
10pm-4am £4 entry.

MUNICH CANDY CLUB:
My first time in Munich, and I'll be playing all my favourite late 80s-late 90s dancefloor classics! BLBL will also be doing a full live band set at Munich Theatron Pfingstfestival on Sunday 27th.

COMFORTABLE SHOES:
Jen Long of Radio 1 fame and I are launching our very own gay indie disco! Jen knows everything about modern indie bands, and I have almost every indie single of the 1990s, so between us, we thought it would be a good idea to make an East London gay indie night! Arthur Russell, Sleeper, Elastica and Kenickie spun alongside Savoir Adore, Male Bonding, The Ataris and Death From Above 1979? Yes please!
9pm-2am £2 but free before 11pm
